I just found this video of Pasquale and I being professional doofuses in my drafts! I miss that guy. We’re using Everyday for iPhone, an app for recording what you look like over time. Shout out and big hearts to William Wilkinson, without whom we couldn’t be snappin’ and time-lapsin’ at all.
This is a one-hour interview/Q&A session Nick Pettit (@nickrp) and I did live with Design Chat last week. We talk about bridging the gap between graphic and web design, working at Carsonified, crushing on Tumblr, becoming The Batman, and answer a bunch of viewer questions. Direct download is here.
Had a grand ol’ time doing my first live Q&A session with Nick this morning. We’ll be doing these weekly on Tuesdays at 12PM EST (Carsonified channel) with a few different members of the Carsonified team cycling in, including Nick Pettit, Jim Hoskins, Ryan Carson, Mike Kus, and me!
In this live Q&A session from the Carsonified USA office in Orlando, Florida, Nick Pettit (@nickrp) and Allison House (@house) answer your questions about web design!
I didn’t do Moleskine Monday this week, so here’s a video of me ackin’ a fool instead.
Moleskine Monday was a series of blog posts I did detailing all the design-related work or learning I completed in a week. I’ve since discontinued the series, but this video is silly so it can hang out!
From my shot on Dribbble:
This is a video tutorial of my process for creating pixel portraits like this and this in Photoshop. I only recently started making these portraits so I’m no pro, but I hope those who asked for a tutorial will find this helpful all the same. I tried to make this super-simple so even non-Dribbblin’ beginners can follow along.
I’m glad I can finally post the finished product—it took a surprisingly long time to put this together! Thanks to all-around awesome guy Tyler for letting me borrow his avatar.
Andrew and me getting ready for takeoff. NYC, here we come!
