A little pre-brunch photography at Peels in the East Village. Photo by Josh Pyles.
Over the holidays, Offscreen Magazine dropped me a line about profiling me for a small feature in their first issue. The only catch was it had to be done by Christmas—and I needed a good portrait photo! Luckily, developer extraordinaire and secret photography pro Zach Holman was still in the city and ready to save the day. (The holiday, even!)
This is the photo I chose; you can see a couple more in my Facebook album here. I suspect Offscreen is going to be a very beautiful bit of print and am quite excited for the first issue. (By the way, I believe they’re still looking for sponsors!)
Allison House is visiting today!
I visited the MindSnacks office yesterday—what a fun space! Pasquale and I decided to keep working on our hand tricks for my guest photo.
Got a haircut last weekend.
Organizing photos; found this one. My friend Alex once said it looks like a “deleted scene from a Wong Kar Wai movie,” a description I just loved.

Saw Alan, Kyle talk; both awesome. Met Allan & Steve, GitHubbers Scott, Zach, Kyle, Brian—impressive men, all of them. Drank in multiple countries, watched fireworks, won a game of air hockey, ran as fast as I could down a beach, possibly trespassed. Not sure how to get the sand out of my phone, but it was a good weekend.
Today’s office happenings: it’s Michael’s first day (our new video editor—woohoo!), Jim bought Guitar Hero 5, and THERE ARE BAGELS.
LEGO Boba Fett at Megacon a few years back.
