At the Front-End Design Conference, Chris Coyier and I interrupt Dan Denney with a slide across the stage! (Thanks to my wonderful friend Olivier Lacan for the video.)
I’ll be speaking at Front-End Conf!
I’m really excited to announce I’ll be speaking at the Front-End Design Conference in St. Petersburg, Florida on July 22, 2011. The lineup is out-of-this-world spectacular and I’m totally honored to be a part of it. It’s destined to be an outstanding event, so grab a ticket! Hope to see you there!
Sixty Words on MagicRuby

Saw Alan, Kyle talk; both awesome. Met Allan & Steve, GitHubbers Scott, Zach, Kyle, Brian—impressive men, all of them. Drank in multiple countries, watched fireworks, won a game of air hockey, ran as fast as I could down a beach, possibly trespassed. Not sure how to get the sand out of my phone, but it was a good weekend.
Future of Web Design Trip Highlights
Saturday, November 13th:

Late night with Ryan Mudryk and Matt Grantham of Eloqua. Drinks and a divine wedge salad (Gorgonzola dressing with whole peppercorns—inspired!) at Macelleria and Pac-Man at an Irish pub in the East Village. Great night.
Sunday, November 14th:

Absolutely delectable brunch at a French place off 9th called Marseille. Kicked off with these beautiful cappuccinos, followed by perfectly flaky croissants, delicious main dishes (omelette for Andrew, a frittata for me), and salad and breakfast potato accompaniments. Out of this world.
Andrew and me getting ready for takeoff. NYC, here we come!
Future of Web Design Trip
I’m thrilled to be heading to New York this weekend to attend the Future of Web Design conference. It’ll be a trip of firsts for me—my first time in New York, my first time at a FOWD conference (I’ve only been to FOWA), and my first time meeting some of my wonderful Carsonified co-workers. How exciting!
Here are my current trip plans. Will you be in New York? I’d love to meet up and say hi!
Saturday, November 14th:
- Late morning arrival in New York. Woohoo!
- Checking into Hampton Inn Manhattan - Times Square South.
- Exploring the city with Andrew, my travel buddy, assuming we haven’t turned into a couple of popsicles!
- We’re pretty open on this day. I’d love to meet up with other conference-goers!
